Experts Weigh-in on the Cyber Readiness Road Map

The Cyber Readiness Institute recently convened members of a Cyber Experts Group to discuss the Institute’s approach to developing tools and content to help small and medium-sized businesses improve resilience against cyber threats. Phase 1 of this effort is focused around the development of a ‘Cyber Readiness Road Map,’ a step-by-step approach designed to help companies with basic cyber hygiene.

At the meeting, Kiersten Todt, Managing Director of the Cyber Readiness Institute, and Craig Moss, Director of Content and Tool Development outlined the proposed Cyber Readiness Road Map and led the group through a discussion of its steps: Identify, Inform, Develop, Commit, Educate, and Sustain. Each step will feature specific outcomes ranging from guides, training, and templates, to guidance and tools. The Cyber Experts Group provided feedback on the approach and shared best practices from their organizations.

In the coming months, member organizations will contribute tools and resources for the Cyber Readiness Institute to reference or use as part of the launch of the Cyber Readiness Road Map. There will also be a series of meetings and webinars to gain further input into the resources and tools in development.
