Since its launch in July 2017, the Cyber Readiness Institute (CRI) has worked on creating practical content and tools to enable small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) improve their cyber risk management practices and strengthen the security of global value chains.
Founded with the support of the Institute’s four Co-Chairs,the Cyber Readiness Institute has continued to engage senior leaders of global companies from across sectors. Since inception, CRI has welcomed Acer, Citigroup, ExxonMobil, Maersk, and Team 4 Security as members, with others scheduled to join soon. Senior leaders and cyber risk experts from these organizations have shared their best practices and guidance on the most effective way for SMBs to address growing cyber risks.
The Cyber Readiness Institute has also convened three Global Cyber Dialogues in partnership with the Center for Global Enterprises’ Global Scholars program. More than 17 small and medium-size business leaders and academics from 10 countries have contributed to these research discussions.
Based on the collective insights, CRI is developing its first phase of content, consisting of tools and resources, for SMBs.  This content is designed to address dominant cyber threats and issues, embed cyber risk management into operations, and foster a culture of cyber readiness. The Cyber Readiness Institute plans to release this first phase of content in Q2 2018.
