A new WSJ article, “Cyber Initiative Aims to Translate Fortune 500 Security Lessons for Smaller Firms” covers the Cyber Readiness Institute’s progress in working with multinational companies to improve the cybersecurity of small and medium-sized companies across global value chains.

The article, featured in WSJ’s Pro Cybersecurity Newsletter, highlights comments from Cyber Readiness Institute Co-Chairs Samuel Palmisano and Ajay Banga. “We’re taking the learnings of big companies -- their capabilities, their knowledge and expertise -- and applying that to create the right step-by-step guidance but also tools to help small businesses to tackle problems,” said Mr. Banga, President and CEO, Mastercard.

Managing Director Kiersten Todt discussed the Cyber Readiness Institute pilot program. Scheduled to begin in July, 2018, the pilot program centers on helping small and medium-sized enterprises learn and adopt impactful cybersecurity practices for securing prioritized and improving the resiliency and readiness of the enterprise. The pilot program features companies of varying sizes and from different industries and will run through the month of September.
